Reception

Reception is primarily taught by Mrs Edwards with Mrs Nighy taking the class on a Monday. Mrs Edwards is our lead teacher for enrichment activities throughout the school as well as being our Geography specialist. Mrs Edwards has now been at the school in excess of 7 years.

Year 1 & 2

Year 1 & 2 are taught by Mrs Mousley from Monday to Wednesday and by Mrs Nighy Thursday & Friday. Mrs Mousley is our literacy coordinator and in this role oversees the teaching of English throughout the school, this includes taking responsibility for the school’s library which is updated via Bracknell Library service termly. Mrs Nighy is our Language specialist and as well as teaching in Reception Yr1 & Yr2 also takes French lessons for the junior children.

Year 3 & 4

Year 3 & 4 are taught this term by Mrs Cath for 4 days & Mrs Kanisius the Head Teacher one day as Mrs Obin is unwell but we would hope that she will be returning to us early in the new year. Mrs Obin is the schools music specialist running our choir and organising trips for the choir to places such as our local church for significant services, the Anvil in Basingstoke and even the O2 and Royal Albert Hall in London. She is also our Special Education Needs Coordinator.

Year 5 & 6

Year 5 & 6 are taught by Mrs Banks Monday to Wednesday and Ms Kanisius on Thursday & Friday. Mrs Banks is our school Maths coordinator and as such takes the lead for developing Maths across the school. She also has a passion for reading and has established Inkpen as an active shadowing school for the Kate Greenaway Book Award. Mrs Kanisius is a science specialist along with being the schools Head Teacher.

 

TEACHING ASSISTANTS

To support the teachers and the children’s learning we also have 5 teaching assistants who work across the years. They also undertake small group work and one to one support for children who require the additional help. They are valued members of the schools team.

PC Hawkett Visit

A very interesting assembly with PC Hawkett talking to the children and giving them an opportunity to ask questions about the Police and their role in society.
