Year 5/6

Year 5/6 Red Kite Class Introduction

Welcome back Red Kites!

Starting in a new year group or perhaps in a new class is always a little daunting. However, this year is unique, of course, with so many extra challenges. I am pleased to say that we are already back in the swing of things and the children are adapting well.

Our online learning platforms such as Active learn, Purple Mash and Charanga are ready to use and we will be making sure that children are confident to log on and navigate their way around.

We are all looking forward to our Games sessions with Mr. Bint to make sure that we keep fit and healthy. We will continue to use the outdoors for our learning in other subjects too.

We look forward to seeing you all at the school gate!

We continue on our journey towards becoming expert learners who enjoy their successes and have the self-motivation and curiosity to explore challenges.

We are all mathematicians, writers, artists and sports stars. Above all, Year 5 and 6 is the time to make sure that we have developed a strong set of values – spiritual, morally, socially and culturally – and these values are part of all that we do in school and beyond.

Most of all, we want Year 5 and 6 to be packed full of memorable experiences and this year, like any other, has many opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. In particular, this term has several exciting opportunities to take part in sports events – an excellent chance to represent Inkpen School which our children do so well.

So, if you would like to see what we were are up to, please do organise to pop by and find out for yourself!
